1976, 1977 and 1978 TOPPS Collection of Unopened Wax Boxes - BBCE Authenticated & Sealed

1976, 1977 and 1978 TOPPS Collection of Unopened Wax Boxes - BBCE Authenticated & Sealed

If you are 50 years of age (or maybe a few years older), and collected baseball cards as a young man, your key years of “ripping wax” and trading with your friends were the years of 1976-1978. Two years of Topps bright red colored wax wrappers (1976 and 1978) sandwiched around a year of blue packs (1977), quite American. During these years we had all the cards available to us in one box. We could find card #1 just as easily throughout the year as we could card #660, or #726 in the case of 1978 Topps. Haven’t you wondered what it would be like to open up packs once again from your formative baseball childhood years, when Math wasn’t taught in school by blue haired teachers, but self taught from the back of a baseball card of your favorite player? In this writers instance, it was hoping Thurman Munson was in each pack opened, and I also learned my division by calculating batting averages. This is your chance to obtain complete unopened boxes from these years in question – fresh to hobby boxes socked away by the original owner since the year they were produced. These boxes were taken in by Leland's, examined and shipped to BBCE for immediate professional authentication and shrink wrapping. While there are numerous examples of Hall of Famers such as George Brett, Pete Rose, Reggie Jackson, Mike Schmidt and Johnny Bench in each pack, there is also the opportunity for high dollar rookie card of Eddie Murray where GEM MINT examples can fetch tens of thousands of dollars. However, the value in vintage unopened wax boxes lies in the actual unopened status, a status which has received increased attention over the last several years. As these boxes were part of our childhood, they are some of the more desirable baseball wax boxes today. While the 1978 wax box is seen on occasion, the 1976 and 1977 Topps wax boxes are not often seen. Even rarer is an opportunity to obtain three highly desirable wax boxes with one shot, a group which can add to your existing collection or begin a new venture for you within our hobby.
