1976 Ferguson Jenkins Home Red Sox Game Used Jersey
Jenkins had six straight 20-win seasons with the Cubs from 1967-72, then another with the Rangers in '74, but never was on a winner. He agreed to be traded to Boston on '76 for that purpose, but after going 12-11 and injuring his Achilles, the Sox gave up on him. He returned to Texas and won 18, then back to the Cubs and won 14 -- en route to 284 lifetime wins and a Hall of Fame berth. His jersey from that lost season is a rare commodity, as is the elusive "Massachusetts Bicentennial" patch on the left sleeve. Good game use. "McAuliffe [size] 48" tag in the collar. Tail has washing instructions and "1976". "Red Sox" sprawls across the front, "31" is on back. Jenkins signed his name and "HOFer" on the "3" in black sharpie, a good 9/10.
