Gaylord Perry Game Worn 300th Win Jersey and Last Pitched Baseball
Important historical baseball lot from the man who turned illegal pitches into an art form and a ticket to Cooperstown. This lot includes two incredible pieces from the famed Barry Halper Collection. First, is the jersey he wore to get win number 300. The jersey is a 1982 Seattle Mariners home white jersey with lengthy inscription on the front in blue sharpie, “To Barry, Went last 4 innings vs. Yankees 5-6-82 Seattle 7 NY 3 Your Pal Gaylord Perry #300.” The jersey is a Rawlings size 46, set 1 1982 with “Perry” on the verso. Still has the original auction tags. Second is the ball pitched from the last out on that record setting night. The ball is signed by Perry, “Last pitch made in #300 Randolph hit to 4-3…Win #300 5-6-82 Gaylord Perry.” LOA documents that the handwriting is in fact Gaylord Perry’s. One of the more important baseball pieces that you can actually own. Ex-Barry Halper Collection.
