1976 James Earl Jones Bingo Long Movie Jersey

1976 James Earl Jones Bingo Long Movie Jersey

This famed actor with the unforgettably bassy and resonant voice wore this colorful "Stars" jersey on screen. He portrayed "Leon" (based on Johysh Gisbson) in the popular film The Bingo Long Traveling All-Stars & Motor Kings. On the strength of Jones' powerful portrayal coupel with co-star Billy Dee Williams (Satchel Piage) this "accuarte" look at Negro League barnstorming of the 1930s has made this a baseball cult film for the ages. [Look for a wonderful performance by a young Richard Pryor.] Tagging in collar is from "Western Costume Co., Hollywood" and has Jones' typewritten name and tailoring information. "Leon 2" on verso. Quality is exceptional in a combination of flannel, felt and satin. Obtained directly from the source, this is the best jersey to have from this important baseball film.
