1976 Joe Morgan Game Used Bicentennial Bat
Very rare game used Bicentennial bat (34”) from the Reds Championship year of 1976. Cracked by Joe on July 15th, 1976 as indicated on the tape wrapped around the handle. Fine use with ball marks and traces of pine tar. “8” in pen on knob and barrel ends. Liberty Bell logo burned on barrel. All that flapping but he never got airborne. Those of you who remember his familiar habit of flapping his arm while at bat, it was a timing mechanism that was suggested to him by teammate and future Hall of Fame second baseman Nellie Fox.
