1976 Miguel Aguilar "Bad News Bears" Screen Worn Uniform

1976 Miguel Aguilar "Bad News Bears" Screen Worn Uniform

Released in 1976, The Bad News Bears endeared itself to American audiences with its unabashed and comedic look at youth sports in the country. The Bears are a baseball team of misfits that against all odds make their league's championship game, though the lovable losers ultimately fall just short. This screen-worn uniform was donned by Miguel Aguilar, who is the younger brother of Jose and does not speak English. The uniform features the memorable cream and gold colors of the Bears, with the team name displayed across the front of the jersey and "Chico's Bail Bonds," the team's sponsor, on the back. The collar has CRC and MIGUEL written on it in black marker. The pants are also included. The uniform sources directly from George Gonzales, the actor who played Miguel Aguilar.
