1976 Neil Armstrong Single Signed Baseball
As Neil Armstrong put it when he stepped out of his Lunar Module onto the Sea of Tranquility, it was “one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind”. Commander of that epochal mission (Apollo 11) has placed a Mint blue ink signature on the panel of this ONL (Feeney) baseball. Signature rates a 10 out of a possible 10. Inscriptions on two other panels are: “Moon Landing 7/20/69 – 7th Anniversary” and “Mars Landing 7/20/76” in original owner’s hand. Ball is in Mint condition. LOA from son of Cincinnati Reds team physician from (1947 to 1986) who got the ball signed.
