1976 Oscar Bonavena's Last Fight Worn Gloves (vs. Billy Joiner)

1976 Oscar Bonavena's Last Fight Worn Gloves (vs. Billy Joiner)

Rugged and wild-swinging Argentinian puncher Oscar Bonavena used these gloves on February 26, 1976, when he won a ten-round decision in the final fight of his career over the unranked Billy Joiner in Reno, Nevada. Bonavena was later killed at the Mustang Ranch brothel for entering after being warned by his promoter, Joe Conforte, to never come back because Bonavena was having an affair with Conforte's wife, Sally. Comes with LOA from the daughter of Bud Traynor, who arranged for Conforte to promote this last fight. Red gloves read, "Cleto Reyes C., SEYER, Profesional, Hecho en Mexico M.I.R., Legitima Piel De Cabrito". Translates to "genuine goat skin."
