1976 Pete Rose Cincinnati Reds Bicentennial Signed Professional Model Bat

1976 Pete Rose Cincinnati Reds Bicentennial Signed Professional Model Bat

Presented is a 1976 Pete Rose Professional Model Bicentennial signed bat. Rose was a key member of the '76 Cincinnati Reds, part of the "Big Red Machine." Known as "Charlie Hustle." Rose had a fine '76 season, as he hit .323, and led the National League in runs (130), hits (215), and doubles (42). With 4,256 hits, Rose has more hits than anyone else in baseball history. The 17-time All-Star was a 3-time World Series Champion. The bat is 34" in length and weighs 32.25 ounces. Even though this is a Pro Model S2 Pete Rose signature Louisville Slugger, it was never used by Rose. Rose's name is etched into the barrel. The bat has had no use, and Rose used a 35" bat during this period, and this bat is only 34". The bat is vintage, and it has been noted that the Reds would sell these bats in the team's gift shop. Rose has signed the bat on the barrel, using a black sharpie, and the Rose signature on this bat is 8/10. Even though Rose never used the bat, it is a Rose Model bat, used and signed by the player with the most hits in baseball history. This is still a highly collectible bat.
