1977 Reggie Jackson 3-Home Run 1977 World Series Ticket Stub PSA PR 1

1977 Reggie Jackson 3-Home Run 1977 World Series Ticket Stub PSA PR 1

Displayed is a ticket stub to Game 6 of the 1977 World Series at Yankee Stadium between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers in which the Yankees' Reggie Jackson blasted three home runs. "Mister October" was Reggie Jackson's nickname, and although the nickname was pinned on Jackson by a possibly sarcastic Thurman Munson during this 1977 World Series, Jackson put a different spin on the Mister October appellation when he blasted three home runs in Game 6, a feat only accomplished twice before in World Series history - both times by Babe Ruth. In Game 5 of the Series, Jackson hit a home run in his final at-bat in a 10-4 Dodger win. The Series moved from Los Angeles to New York's Yankee Stadium for Game 6 with the Yankees trailing 3-2 in games. After walking in his first at bat, Jackson homered off Dodger started Burt Hooten in the fourth inning to give the Yankees a 4-3 lead. Then Jackson homered in the fifth inning against Elias Sosa and again in the seventh inning against Charlie Hough. For the game, Reggie was 3-3, with four runs and five RBIs. The Jackson heroics tied the Series and set up Game 7, won by the Yankees. Since Jackson's great game, only two more players have ever hit three home runs in a World Series game: Albert Pujols in 2011 and Pablo Sandoval in 2012. Jackson was named the 1977 World Series MVP. The 1.8x4.1" ticket stub is for a $10.00 reserved seat. The stub has some staining and some fading of color. There is a small crease in the upper right and a partial small tear in the bottom right corner. The ticket stub has been encapsulated and graded PSA PR 1. The ticket stub is a fitting memento to one of the best offensive performances by any batter in World Series annals. The ticket stub comes with a PSA Letter of Authenticity.
