1977 Tom Seaver New York Mets Game Used Bat

1977 Tom Seaver New York Mets Game Used Bat

Interesting provenance in this 1977 Tom Seaver game used bat; it actually came from Lee Mazzilli who was given the bat by Seaver. H&B model K55 is uncracked with nice use including ball marks on the barrel and light pine tar on the handle, number 41 written on the knob and barrel end while number on the knob end also has a very large and bold number 4. Bat is actually a Seaver model, not surprising as Tom Terrific took almost as much pride in his hitting as he did his Hall of Fame pitching, smacking 12 career homers. The 1977 season was the one in which the Mets did the unthinkable in a mid-season trade, shipping The Franchise to the Cincinnati Reds.
