1977 Yankee Stadium American League All-Star Ring

1977 Yankee Stadium American League All-Star Ring

The American League, behind starting pitcher Jim Palmer, entered the game hoping to break a 5-year National League domination of the event. But early on, everyone knew it would have to wait another year. Establishing an early lead, the Nationals went on to a 7-5 victory, with starting pitcher Don Sutton earning the win and an MVP award. This superb New York Yankees All-Star size 11 ring is done in silver, with beautiful gold plating on its top and sides. A recessed light blue sapphire is at the center, circled by "Baseball All Star". On one shank, a baseball with Yankee initials soars out of Yankee Stadium, very nicely done in relief with the NYC skyline in the background. The name "Landers" appears on the other shank, above an incised batter, both above a circle with "77" on it. Condition of this especially attractive ring is NRMT.
