1978 Bob Feller Shea Stadium Old Timers Game Presentational Suitcase
Interesting suitcase once belonging to Hall of Fame pitcher Bob Feller. Though he played all of his 18 MLB seasons with the Cleveland Indians, this light brown piece of luggage bears a gold gilded insignia of the New York Mets (as well as his initials R - Robert - F). These were presented to all participants in the 1978 Old Timers Game at Shea Stadium, and these were gifted to all players who participated in the event. Measures 25x18x7.5" with Hartman Luggage logo on left side, center clasp is engraved, "Oldtimers Day - Shea Stadium - July 8, 1978." Signed and inscribed by the middle clasp, "To My Friend - Ed Budnick - Sincerely Bob Feller - 11-7-81." Shows light if any use, locking clasps are present but do not close (this looks to be repairable, they may just be stuck from age) and the key is not present. Unique piece from the 6-time AL wins leader, who amassed a career record of 266-162.
