1978 Bob Forsch Signed Game Used No-Hitter Baseball
Despite being a pitchers' park, only two no-hitters were thrown at the second Busch Stadium in St. Louis, which was open from 1966-2006. Both were tossed by Bob Forsch and this is from the first, on April 16, 1978. This Official National League (Feeney) baseball shows nice use and was given to former teammate Mike Shannon by Forsch after the game. Signed in 7/10 blue pen, "To Mike, On my no-hitter, Best wishes, Bob Forsch, April 16, 1978," the stampings are slightly faded but the ball is in EX condition. The other no-no was also thrown by Forsch, on September 26, 1983.
