1978 Pete Rose Game Used Bat with Reds Gift Shop Certificate

1978 Pete Rose Game Used Bat with Reds Gift Shop Certificate

One could only imagine how many hits the "Hit King" had in the 1978 season with this Adirondack model 69A bat. The bat itself is uncracked with some grain separation on the barrel and "14" written on the knob in marker. Shows nice use and is signed by Rose in blue ink on the barrel. Comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Cincinnati Reds gift shop stating this bat was used in games. On the cert it reads "was used and broken in a Major League baseball game," and the "broken" refers to the grain separation because it was enough reason for Rose to not want to use it. The cert was once taped on the barrel but is now separate. Measures 34.75" and weighs 32.2 ounces. An important bat as it is from 1978, the year of the hitting streak and also that it is a 100% certifiable Rose bat with cert from the Reds gift shop.
