1978 Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Floyd Maweather On-Site Fight Poster
On September 9, 1978 at the Civic Center in Providence, Rhode Island, future world champion Sugar Ray Leonard fought Floyd Mayweather in the main event. In a dominant effort, Leonard put Mayweather down twice in the 8th round en route to winning a unanimous 10-round decision. Here is an original, on-site poster for this event, picturing both fighters. It exhibits soiling and staining with edge and corner wear. 14" x 22." Scarce pre-championship poster of the great Sugar Ray.
