1979 Indiana State Sycamores Autographed Basketball with Larry Bird
Oh those glory days of the great fiery players... Indiana State's NCAA Division I 1979 team was led by Larry Bird who played against a Magic Johnson-led Michigan State team. Even though Indiana lost to Michigan in the final of the NCAA tournament, it didn't stop Bird from flying to fame, and it also didn't stop Hodges from being awarded the NCAA "Coach of the Year." Basketball reads, "NBA Nylon Wound B1612." This "Wilson Official Size and Weight" regulation basketball is signed by 20 people in black Sharpie including: an extremely young Larry Bird and Head Coach Bill Hodges. Basketball is endorsed by NBA commissioner Lawrence F O'Brien. Slightly rubbed signatures are given a solid 8-9/10. List of signatures is available. Comes with a photo printed onto paper of the 1979 team.
