1979 Jim Rooker Pittsburgh Pirates World Champions Belt Buckle (from Willie Stargell)

1979 Jim Rooker Pittsburgh Pirates World Champions Belt Buckle (from Willie Stargell)

Custom-made and engraved specifically for left-handed pitcher Jim Rooker after the Pirates won the 1979 World Series, this 5.5"-wide belt buckle was "commissioned" by Willie "Pops" Stargell, as the slugger and clubhouse leader had these made for all his teammates. The silver and gold metal buckle displays the words, "World Champs ROOK Pittsburgh Pirates" on the front while the back is stamped by R&R Buckles and "Hand Engraved Nickel Silver." There is some slight tarnishing, but it is overall in EX condition.
