1979 Jim Spencer Game Worn Jersey
Offered is a gray "road" Yankees jersey worn by the smooth-fielding, first baseman of the '78 World Champs. Spanning the chest in blue-on-white lettering is, "New York", and on the reverse is Spencer's number "12". The left sleeve is sewn with the black knit armband worn in memory of Thurman Munson during the 1979 season. Inside the collar is a gray name plate chain-stitched in blue with, "Spencer 79 1", and the tail has tagging from "Wilson [size] 44". The jersey displays good use in the form of puckering most noticable on the numbering. Signed in black sharpie.
