1979 Steve Carlton Game Worn Uniform
An eighteen and eleven season for Lefty who continued to power his way toward the top of the all-time lists for wins and strike outs. Uniform is only Jockeys and a jock strap short of 100% complete, so we'll go from head to toe here: 1) Phillies cap. "Wilson [size] 7" tagging in headband. Number "32" in marker under visor. Light, but definite use. 2) Home white pinstriped jersey. Number "32" and logo "P" on chest. Back has "Carlton 32." Collar bears black chain stitched "Carlton." Tail is tagged "Wilson [size] 46" with "79 2" in black thread. Zipper front. Use is just spectacular, with sweat and tobacco stains and fabric as soft as a baby's behind. 3) Matching pants are tagged "Wilson [size] 36" with chain stitched "Carlton 77 1." Use is fantastic as well. 4) Red stirrups. Good use. 5) White tube socks. Good use. 6) "Adidas" brand spikes. Size "11 1/2" sticker in each. Number "32" in marker on each heel. Light if any use.
