One of the last to wear #2 before Derek Jeter, this gamer is the subject of no less than FOUR photo-matches: 1) 9/20 when the Yankees dedicated a plaque to Thurman Munson. 2) 8/28 - 12th Home Run of season. 3) 1981 Yankees Photo Album card. 4) 1982 Yankees Photo Album card. "Murcer 80 2" strip tag is in neck, faded from wear and washing, Wilson size 42 tag is on front tail. Classic pinstriped design has iconic interlocking NY on left breast, Munson armband on left sleeve has been removed, number 2 is on back, and there are loose threads on numbers and logo with dirt marks on the sleeves, a sweat stain on back of neck, and other minor staining present. Murcer's 17-year career - in which he totaled 1,043 RBI, was bookended in the Bronx, starting his career for the Bombers from 1965-74, and finishing with a stint from '79-83.
