1980 Gary Carter Game Worn Montreal Expos Pants

1980 Gary Carter Game Worn Montreal Expos Pants

The uniform pants Gary Carter wore with the Montreal Expos in 1980 are already a relic from a bygone era and a bygone team. Carter was as much the Expos as their road-blue uniforms. Grass and dirt stains, and the separation of the red, white and blue piping from the pant legs are due to many players wearing the bottoms afterward. (You'll see their names written on the waistband.) But the original owner -- an original indeed -- was Carter. His number 8, the year, his size and the set number are all stiched in sequence on a blue label near the Wilson tag. It was Carter more than anyone who wore the pants in the Expos' family
