1980 Pittsburgh Pirates "Obscene" and Regular Large-Format Team Photographs (2)
Pair of rare large-format (20x16") 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates team photos, one of which is a seldom-seen outtake capturing the players clowning around and exhibiting some obscene behavior. It should be noted that these 20x16" photos were not available to the public and were produced specifically for the players and team executives. As one can see here, during some down time between shots the players took to fooling around and the cameraman good naturedly decided to capture the scene. Obviously, those obscene prints were for "in house" distribution only, which is why most collectors are seeing an example of one here for the first time. This is an outstanding pairing of the official team photo and the "players only" version, that makes for a great conversation piece when displayed side by side. Each print remains in apparent Near Mint condition and has been professionally framed to total dimensions of 23x19". Please note: the size and/or weight of this lot will necessitate an increased shipping charge.
