1980s Dave Casper & John James Game Worn Oilers Jersey with Photomatched Earl Campbell 1980 AFC Wild Card Game Banner
Before the Texans invaded Houston, the NFL's football entry was all about the Oilers. These two jerseys were game-worn by a pair of players from that franchise, with Dave Casper's coming from the 1982 season and John James from 1983. Both are white uniforms with screened blue numbers with red trim, Casper's has Russell Athletic and size 48 tagging, with his name ironed on the back and some team repairs and cracking on the number. The James model is also from Russell with size 42 tag and washing instructions, and his name is above his number 6 on the back. As a bonus, included is a massive 40x90" banner made by a Raiders fan that hung at the 1980 AFC Wild Card game lampooning Houston power back Earl Campbell, with a soup can reading "Cream of Earl." The sign was prophetic, as the home Oakland Raiders stifled the Oilers in a 27-7 triumph. Shown is a photo from the game in which we matched the exact banner. Both jerseys come with LOA, one from the Oilers equipment manager. Included is also a DVD from the Wild Card game in which you can see the banner being flown.
