1981-85 Larry Bird Boston Celtics Game Worn Jersey (MEARS A10)
Sensational game used Boston Celtics jersey from legendary Larry Bird, circa 1981-85. Tagging on front left tail includes Exclusive Boston Celtics, and Sand-Knit size 46, with this style of tag only being utilized during the 1981-85 time period. White home top has Kelly green trim, letters, and numbers, with CELTICS across the chest above the front number 33, and name sewn in individual letters above the back number. One look at this magnificent piece conjures images of the parquet floor of the fabled Boston Garden, particularly of Bird's Celtics engaged in another monumental battle against rival Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers. Of course, Larry Legend's fame extended beyond the court, as he remains the only player in NBA history to earn Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player, NBA Finals Most Valuable Player, All-Star Game Most Valuable Player, Coach of the Year, and Executive of the Year honors, an unequaled resume. Not to be forgotten, Bird almost single-handedly carried little-known Indiana State to the 1978-79 NCAA Finals, where they fell in the championship final - to Magic Johnson's Michigan State squad.
