1981 Michael Jordan Vintage Signed High School Yearbook (PSA)

1981 Michael Jordan Vintage Signed High School Yearbook (PSA)

This unassuming-looking high school yearbook contains an exceptional and exceedingly rare prize - a 1981 period signature of no less than Michael Jordan. Laney High School yearbook is titled "The Spinnaker" and has some incredible content. Hardcover 9.5x12.5" book looks like any other with lengthy inscriptions from high school classmates dotted throughout. The first prize comes on page 2 with the budding superstar sitting on a car with license plate reading "Magic Mike," then on p. 127 with Michael's senior photo detailing his sport and club participation, looking sharp in 3-piece suit. The mother lode is on page 203, with a blue ballpoint signature and lengthy inscription reading, "To a very nice young man (obviously the book owner) who I enjoyed knowing. Good luck in the future." There are three photos of Jordan on that page, two in plain clothes but one concentrating in basketball uniform on the foul line - complete with his tongue hanging out. Finally, page 218 has a family photo with caption, "Without the gracious gift of fifteen hundred dollars donated by the Jordan family, the completion of the baseball field would have been impossible," and he is in the baseball team picture on the opposite page, apparently his last season of competitive baseball until he "retired" from hoops to join the Birmingham Barons in 1994. Great and rare early content from the man still considered by many to be basketball's "GOAT." Comes with PSA LOA.
