1981 Pedro Guerrero World Series MVP Trophy
This award is the one-and-only trophy given to Pedro Guerrero for being co-MVP of the 1981 World Series, which saw the Los Angeles Dodgers capture a six-game win over the New York Yankees. Oddly, three players were deemed worthy of MVP honors, as Guerrero and teammates Steve Garvey and Ron Cey also received such awards. This one was obtained directly from Guerrero, and is all original with light tarnishing and in EX condition with plaque reading "Major League Baseball and Sport Magazine's 1981 World Series Most Valuable Player, Ron Cey, Pedro Guerrero, Steve Garvey, Los Angeles Dodgers." It stands 10" tall and weighs a hefty 6.5 pounds and the base is approximately 5" wide, with Balfour sticker on bottom of base. Pedro batted .333 in that series (7-for-21) with two homers and seven RBI, including one homer in the decisive sixth game.
