1982 Jim Rice Road Boston Red Sox Game Worn Jersey
Like Carl Yastrzemski and Ted Williams before him, Rice was a power-hitting left fielder who played his entire career for the Red Sox. His talents and efforts throughout his time in Beantown won him many fans who today continue still to lobby for his inclusion in the Hall of Fame. To their dismay the quest continues but for now let us offer his gray "road" jersey worn during the 1982 season. In rich navy tackle twill, "Boston" arches across the chest, while on the reverse his number "14" holds court simply and elegantly. The tail hold's both the manufacturer's "Wilson [size] 44" tag and the matching grey year plate, chain-stitched "82". The garment's displays very good use, most noticeable on the neck and button facing.
