1983-87 Johnny Carson NBC "Tonight Show" Contracts (9)
Many followed in his footsteps but there can be only one "King of Late Night." This is an amazing lot of nine (9) Johnny Carson NBC contracts: 1) 1983 contract for Carson to be an award presenter at the 35th Annual Emmy Awards. 2-7) 1984, 1985 (2), 1986, 1987 (2) "Tonight Show" contracts addressed to Mr. Carson. 8) 1985 "Tonight Show" deferred compensation contract. 9) 1985 "Tonight Show" contract given to Carson's representative (not signed). All but one are signed by Carson, with the 1984 contract signed twice. There are two holes at the top with minor creasing to top left corners, otherwise EX-MT condition. Behind the desk as the affable host of The Tonight Show for three decades, Carson won six Emmy awards and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1992, and also received a Kennedy Center Honor a year later.
