1983 Franklin Edwards Philadelphia 76ers NBA World Championship Player Ring

One of the scarcer NBA Championship rings from one of the most dominant playoff runs in NBA history is up for grabs in this simple (by today's standards) yet stunning 1983 Philadelphia 76ers World Championship ring earned by Franklin Edwards. In just his second NBA season, Edwards was a key component in that Sixers' squad, appearing in 81 games, mostly off the bench. Tremendous size 10 specimen is centered by a genuine diamond atop a maroon circular set stone with NBA World Champions around the bezel. On the left shank is the NBA logo with a stylized 1983 around it, above engraved "Defense." Right shank is engraved Edwards 14 at top above a relief of the Liberty Bell with Sixers' logo and their record of 65-17 on either side with the word Persevere at the bottom; LGB 14k stamped inside. On the holder for the bell is "Fo' Five Fo'" which refers to a memorable story of Philly's playoff run. Before the playoffs, superstar Moses Malone predicted his team would sweep all three series in four games, or "Fo' Fo' Fo'" as he called it. Malone was close to the mark as the Milwaukee Bucks won a game in the semis, making it a five-game series, thus "Fo', Five, Fo'." No team has ever swept through the playoffs, and the 1983 76ers are one of just three teams in history to lose just one game. As good as it gets, in MINT condition.
