1983 Johnny Bench Pre-Game Worn Jersey
This sand-knit blue jersey has a National League emblem on the right chest, and a patch on the right sleeve, which reads, "All-Star Game, 1933, 1983, 50th Anniversary". There is a tag on the front right tail, which says, "Medalist, Sand-Knit, X-Large, Berlin, WI U.S.A.". The inside of the bottom of the shirt, along the hemline, has long rectangular patches sewn in. One says "1983 ALL STAR" and the other says "BENCH". The jersey shows light use, with a small stain on the left side of the "V" on the front. COA from Bench stating that he wore this jersey during the "All-Star Game Home Run Contest and other events".
