1983 Pedro Guerrero Game Used Batting Helmet Cracked by Nolan Ryan
This is what happens when Nolan Ryan hits you in the head with a fastball! No injuries occurred during this beaning but the incident was one that Pedro Guerrero wanted to make sure that he remembered. That is why he saved this helmet and had Nolan Ryan sign it after the game. Blue Dodgers helmet with "LA" on the front and number "28" on the brim. Inside is ABC size 7 labeling. A three inch by four inch piece of the back of the helmet is missing and there is a six inch crack. All damage was the result of the impact that the baseball made. Signed by Nolan Ryan in black felt tip with the notation "9/15/83 Astrodome". The signature and notation are 6/10 but a bit hard to see due to the contrast. Pedro Guerrero has also signed in blue Sharpie with the notation "Nolan Hit Me, Ouch!". Obtained directly from Pedro Guerrero.
