1983 Rick Dempsey Game Worn Catcher's Mitt
Responsible for catching more games than any other player in Orioles franchise history, Rick Dempsey will forever be remembered for his heroic efforts that earned him MVP honors of the 1983 World Series. During those five games he hit the game-winning RBI in Game Two and homered and doubled in the Game Five clincher, hitting .385 overall. Offered is the Rawlings model K3-H mitt used by Rick during that very Championship campaign. Written on the outer web and pinky finger is "Dempsey" in faded marker with his number "24" written on thumb in the same ink. Overall it exhibits fantastic use with part of the orange pocket lining missing, the result of too many fast balls. Comes from the fan who was personally given the mitt by Dempsey and includes a 1983 Orioles news plaque picturing Dempsey wearing the same style leather.
