1983 Roger Clemens Scouting Report
Historically important document (scouting report) from the estate of the man who signed Roger Clemens for the Boston Red Sox is dated 5-16-83. From one 9-inning game his enthusiasm seems controlled. In fact he reports "Fair" agility, aptitude and emotional maturity. The cherished scout who brought this to Doyle's attention is future Red Sox manager Joe Morgan who has signed it "J. Morgan". Finding Clemens got him the gig.
