1983 Willie Gault Chicago Bears Game Worn Jersey
The Chicago speedster and star of Super Bowl XX (four receptions- 129 yards) wore this white "road" jersey two years prior, during his rookie season of '83. Screened with his number "83" in navy and orange on the front, sleeves, and back, where also "Gault" is screened to a matching white nameplate on the shoulders. Of note is the absence of George Halas' "GSH" initials which have long been as standard as the player's number. Although some players chose to add it to their uniforms, 1983 was the only season in which it was not included on the team's jersey. Tagging on the tail reads, "Wilson [size] 42". Light but evident use. A fantastic gamer from those unforgettable Bears of the Eighties.
