1984 Alvin Robertson Game-Worn Olympic Jersey and Shorts (Gold Medal Winner)
Eight years before the "Dream Team" took to the court in Barcelona, the United States' last amateur Olympic basketball team to capture Olympic Gold was in Los Angeles. The games proved to be a coming out party for Michael Jordan, but Alvin Robertson University of Arkansas made his presence felt, too, averaging 7.8 points and magnificent 2.1 steals per game during the eight contests. Here's the uniform he wore 30 years ago. "USA 8" is heat-pressed on the front of the jersey and "8" on the back, with Robertson's signature inside the number the 8 along with the inscription: "1984 Olympic Used, 84 Gold Medal" in silver Sharpie. The jersey and matching shorts have Descente tagging, and the latter are signed on the waist band with the notation "1984 Gold Medal Winner." Both show nice use and come directly from Robertson, who was a brilliant defensive player during his 10-year NBA career and still holds the record for the most steals per game played, averaging 2.71 thefts per outing. He is also one of four players ever to record a quadruple-double in a game.
