1984 Bruce Springsteen Born In The USA "MAIN" Stage Used Acoustic Guitar

From one of America's most beloved rockers and used on one of his most famous tours, this incredible guitar belonged to Bruce Springsteen and was featured prominently on his Born in the USA tour in 1984 and '85. The black 1984 Takamine acoustic guitar, model 391 serial numer 84120887, was used on stage by Springsteen throughout the tour for songs including "Shut Out the Light," "No Surrender," and "Used Cars." Its use was also memorialized on YouTube videos for the songs "No Surrender" (Toronto, Canada, 1984) and "Shout Out the Light" (Paris, France, 1985). The guitar was one of several purchased by Springsteen for the tour, but this particular one was hand-selected by The Boss as his primary acoustic guitar for stage use. It comes with its original case and a letter from Springsteen's technical assistant, who was gifted this guitar at the conclusion of the tour. With more than 135 million records sold worldwide, Springsteen is one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, and is a folk hero in the U.S. He is best known for his distinctive voice and powerful stage performances, which were on full display throughout the Born in the USA tour. Lasting more than a year, the tour grossed over $80 million with total attendance of almost $4 million, making it his longest and most successful tour to date. It was also the first Springsteen tour since 1974 sans Steven Van Zandt and the first to feature Springsteen's future wife, Patti Scialfa. A true music icon, Springsteen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999.
