1984 Doug Flutie Heisman Trophy Ring
Quarterback Doug Flutie reigned supreme at Boston College, where his November, 1984 “Hail Mary” pass was widely reported and is usually included in any list of “Greatest Moments in College Football”. For his many achievements, Flutie was awarded the prestigious Heisman Trophy in 1984. Doug Flutie went on to a long career in professional football, playing for teams including the Buffalo Bills, San Diego Chargers and New England Patriots. An 8-year stint as an all-star in the Canadian Football League ended in 1998, when he returned to the NFL, where he continues to play. This wonderful 10 karat gold Balfour ring is like the one presented to Flutie with the Heisman Trophy in 1984. The top is marked “Heisman / Boston / College / Winner” and has a large central diamond set on a red cabochon. The left side is marked “Flutie / NCAA / Passing / Record / 10,579 / Yds.” with the figure of a player, and the right side features a football, spread wings and a helmet marked “22”. This sample ring is size 10 and in NRMT condition.
