1984 Rick Miller Boston Red Sox Signed Game Worn Jersey
Boston Red Sox home jersey worn by outfielder Rick Miller in 1984. The white knit jersey is lettered "Red Sox" across the front and features the number "3" on the reverse. All letters and numerals are applied in red on navy tackle twill. Located on the left front tail are a "Wilson 40" label and a square, white strip tag bearing the year, "84," stitched in black. Miller has inscribed the jersey in blue Sharpie (grading 9/10) on the left front tail: "Rick Miller #3/1984." There is some loss to the red piping near the bottom portion of the button panel (the loss of piping runs from the second to last button all the way down to the base of the tail); otherwise the jersey is original as issued and displays moderate wear. 1984 marked Miller's penultimate season in the Majors after having played thirteen seasons with both the Red Sox and California Angels. Miller batted .260 with 0 home runs and 12 RBI in 1984. He finished his career with 28 home runs, 369 RBI, and a .269 lifetime average.
