1984 USA Olympic Baseball Team Ring
Resplendent 1984 USA Baseball Olympic Team ring was given to team members and VIPs by the International Baseball Association (AINBA). Stamped "Jostens 10k," it is engraved with the name "Mickey Louis" inside. In the top of the ring is a brilliant single diamond set within red stone. There are also two fine smaller diamonds on the interior bezel. This ring was presented to S.C. Johnson Company heir Michael W. Louis, better known as "Mick" or "Mickey." This well known philanthropist was an important benefactor to the team that boasted such future marvels as Mark McGwire. No stranger to generosity, Louis, who never graduated from college, made a $30 million donation to the National College of Education which was renamed after him National-Louis University. This ring was gifted to our consignor by Mr. Michael W. "Mickey" Louis, himself.
