Photo-Match: The photo of the photo-match has been uploaded

Outstanding use is evident throughout this 1985 Pittsburgh Steelers jersey game worn by Donnie Shell, which rates as the finest we've seen. This black jersey has an "85" year tag and a Sand-Knit size 46 tag on the tail. Heavy use is evident with abrasions, scuffs, paint transfers, and loose threads, as well as an incredible 22 team repairs. Number 31 is in white on front, back, and sleeves, name in all yellow letters is on a plate above the rear number. Part of the celebrated Steel Curtain defense of the 1970s, Shell played his entire 14-year career in Pittsburgh and appeared in 201 games for the Steelers, still the 4th most in franchise history. He also retired with the most interceptions (51) in NFL history for a strong safety, and was a five-time Pro Bowler and first-team All-Pro three times. He won four Super Bowls with the Steelers and was selected to their All-Time Team in 2007. This jersey has been photo-matched to 9/8/85, 45-3 Steelers win over Indianapolis (Getty 1402443330); and 9/13/87, 30-17 win over San Francisco (88513284, 82554865, 82554869); comes directly from the Steelers archive with an LOA from the Steelers, as well as Resolution Photo Match letter and Steelers letter signed by Art Rooney II. A member of both the College and Pro Football Hall of Fame, Shell has been named to the Steelers' All-Time Team as well as the franchise's Hall of Honor.
