1985 Kentucky Derby Winning Trainer Presentation Saddle "Trophy"
Given to trainer Cam Gambolati the day after Spend A Buck captured the 1985 Kentucky Derby, this presentation saddle "trophy" measures 2' long. The right side includes the year with "Winning Trainer" engraved, and the opposite says "Kentucky Derby." It also comes with a plaque on back of saddle reading "Presented by Bob Ross & Gene Roberts." Obtained directly from Gambolati and comes with signed handwritten letter from him, this unusual piece is in beautiful NRMT condition. Thanks in part to the efforts of his trainer, Spend A Buck won the 1985 Eclipse Award for Horse of the Year as well as Champion Three Year Old Colt.
