Minnesota hitting champ Kirby Puckett put in his first full year of professional play in 1985 (161 games) most of which was played in this exact blue jersey. Subsequently, by the next season, the centerfielder performed as an All-Star consecutively from 1986 to 1995, hit for the cycle in ’86, was the A.L. hitting champ for three consecutive years (’87 - ’89), member of the World Series-winning Twins in ’87 and ’91, and the batting champ of ’89.
