1985 Pete Rose 4,192 Record Breaking Hit Full Ticket PSA EX-MT 6
Presented is a full, and unused ticket to the September 11, 1985, game in which the Cincinnati Reds Pete Rose singled to left center off the San Diego Padres Eric Show in the bottom of the first inning, at Cincinnati's Riverfront Stadium to break Ty Cobb's all-time MLB hit record with Rose's hit number 4,192. Rose played in the Major Leagues for 24 years, mostly for Cincinnati. Rose played 24 seasons, from 1963-86, and wound up with the current all-time MLB record of 4,256 hits. He owns many other records, including games played (3,562), and at-bats (14,053). Cincinnati won Rose's record-breaking game, but the crowd of 52,000 was there for one main reason and they got their wish - to see Rose reach baseball immortality. The $3.50 ticket measures 2x6.5". Only 65 of these have been graded by PSA, and this ticket is better than most as to grade. The ticket has been encapsulated and graded PSA EX-MT 6. This ticket is a great baseball memento in that it celebrates the man who broke the all-time hit record by the man whose unique personality broke the mold - Pete Rose.
