1986-87 Walter Davis Game Worn Suns Uniform

1986-87 Walter Davis Game Worn Suns Uniform

Walter Davis had some of the best nicknames going. The NBA star was alternately referred to as “Sweet D”, “The Greyhound”, and “The Man with the Velvet Touch.” Long after his playing days ended he is still called the best pure shooter in the history of the Suns franchise. Suns road uniform (jersey + shorts), is purple with orange and white trim and is in excellent condition, showing good game use. Jersey has the NBA logo next to the left collar, “Phoenix” above his number “6” and on the lower left are three tags; a white sewn on patch “2-86-87” and two “Sand Knit” tags, one reading “Designed and Tailored for the Phoenix Suns” and the other, size “44.“ Both are by MacGregor. Reverse is “Davis” over number “6.” Shorts have Suns logo on left front. Waist tag has 4 tags sewn in: “1-86-87”, Sand Knit and Exclusive tags, along with “1MHR...1MIN.”
