1986 Boston Celtics NBA Championship Ring

1986 Boston Celtics NBA Championship Ring

The Boston Celtics, the most storied franchise in basketball history, have won 16 Championships, the last three with Larry Bird as the pre-eminent star on rosters stocked with greats and near-greats such as McHale and Parish, Dennis Johnson, Danny Ainge, Bill Walton. It’s hard to believe that nearly a generation has passed since the last banner was hung over the famous parquet floor in the rafters of the Boston Garden. This ring from the 1986 Boston Celtics NBA Championship celebrates their 16th with “BIRD” over the Leprechaun and “16 World Championships” and “PRIDE” on one side with “1986” bookending the NBA logo over “TEAMWORK” on the other. This great sample ring is solid 10K gold, was made by Balfour (“Balfour 10K” is stamped indside the band) and is just like the one that Larry received except the only difference is this one has faux diamonds and Bird’s had real ones. Size 11 NRMT condition.
