1986 Mike Tyson Fight Worn Trunks

1986 Mike Tyson Fight Worn Trunks

Black “Everlast” trunks with velvet finish and satin trim were worn by Iron Mike during an exhibition bout against Anthony Davis July 6, 1986. Staged in East Rutherford, New Jersey, the fight was part of the “Salute To The Statue” tribute show honoring the 100th Anniversary of Lady Liberty. Decorated accordingly the right leg has a blue and white Statue of Liberty patch with “1886, 1986” in red. On the opposite leg is an American flag patch with gold border. The trunks displaying obvious use were obtained from Tyson’s Assistant Manager at the time Steve Lott who from which the LOA comes. Mounted in a dark wood framed display measuring 24”x37” along with a ticket and photos of Tyson wearing these exact trunks.
