Hard-throwing pitcher Jose Rijo burst onto the scene at age 18 and racked up 1,606 strikeouts over an injury-plagued career. Though he spent the majority of his career with the Cincinnati Reds, the Dominican-born ace spent three seasons with the Oakland A's, wearing this home jersey in 1987. This is an all-original with "Athletics 27" on the front and "RIJO 27" on the back. His name is sewn on a plate, and there is a 1987 All-Star Game patch on the left sleeve. There is a Rawlings size 46 along with "Set 1 1987" and "2 87 2" strip tagging inside the front tail. Shows nice use and is signed on the front in 8/10 black Sharpie.
