1988 Andre Dawson Game Worn Jersey
Andre “Hawk” Dawson was one of the most feared hitters from 1976-1996, all but two spent in the NL. In 1987, the stoic Dawson was National League’s Most Valuable Player. He clubbed 49 homers and drove in 137 runs for the last-place Chicago Cubs, becoming the first player on a cellar-dweller to earn the award. The blue pullover is a Cubs Rawlings size 44 with “8 88 2 44” strip tag in the collar along with “Set 2 1988” flag tag. “Dawson 8” on the back with Cubbie patch on left sleeve. Moderate use. All original.
