1990 Larry Bird Boston Celtics Warmup Jacket (MEARS)
Boston Celtics warmup jacket worn by Hall of Fame forward Larry Bird in 1990. The button-down green-knit jersey is lettered "Celtics" across the front in white on gold tackle twill. "Bird" is lettered in green tackle twill on a white nameplate on the reverse. A shamrock in white on gold tackle twill appears on each sleeve. Two labels appear in the collar. The first is a "Champion 46" label that has Bird's initials and uniform number ("L. B. #33") written upon it in black marker. The other label reads "Custom Designed and Sewn for Boston Celtics/Year 90/Sleeve Length 0/Body Length +2." The warmup jersey is original as issued and displays moderate wear.Bird played most of the 1990-1991 season with back problems that limited him to 60 games, but he still managed to average 19.4 points per game, He also once again led the Celtics into the postseason for the twelfth consecutive year, where they eventually lost in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Bird enjoyed success at every level of his NBA career and is the only person in League history to be named Rookie of the Year, MVP, Finals MVP, All-Star Game MVP, Coach of the Year, and Executive of the Year.
